What are viruses?

                                                What are viruses?

Viruses are a type of germs.

They’re very tiny, and when they get inside your body, they can spread or replicate and make you sick. Viruses

cause  disease like colds, chicken pox, measles, flu and many other diseases.

Viruses need to be inside living cells to grow and reproduce.

Most viruses can’t survive very long if they're not inside a living thing like a plant, animal or person.  Unfortunately, antibiotics don't work on viruses like they do on bacteria.

To prevent the spreading of the viruses we can do things such as:

Washing our hands often, before eating especially after using the bathroom.

Always stay 2 meters away from a person in case they have germs.

Cover your mouth when you need to cough or sneezes so that others don’t have your germs.

After you finish eating make sure to clean your mess so that you don’t leave any germs.

wear a face mask in public.

Use hand sanitizer when you go to the shop.

Always keep your distance from other people when you are out in public.

Don’t go to school if you are feeling sick and stay in your own bubble.

Don’t go outside when it's raining or if it’s windy or you will get sick.

Wear a mask to protect yourself.

If we all follow the rules we all can win against covid 19.
